This 2-day-workshop will be held in Berlin, Germany, on January 22 & 23, 2015. We will use Clojure, a modern programming language, to introduce you to fundamental programming concepts and build a sample app using Clojure.

Total programming novices, system administrators, developers in other languages, and folks who attended our previous workshops are all welcome. We’ll have different classes separated by experience level.

We’ll meet up Friday late afternoon to install all of the software you need, and then spend Saturday learning and writing code. You will learn and practice in small groups of 2 to 4 attendees each. To register, you must identify as a woman.

Each participant needs to bring their own computer with a fairly recent operating system (Mac, Linux or Windows). If you have questions about your hardware or you don’t have a laptop, don’t hesitate to send an e-mail to the organizers before the event!

Sometimes people ask if the Friday night installfest is mandatory, and yes, it is! It’s a crucial part of the weekend. Even if you’ve already gone through the instructions, or if you’ve been to a workshop in the past, you should still attend the Installfest to get re-verified, because this stuff changes almost constantly.

Dieser 2-tägige Workshop findet am 22. & 23. Januar in Berlin statt. Wir geben euch eine Einführung in die moderne Programmiersprache Clojure, um euch einige fundamentale Programmierkonzepte vorzustellen. Im Workshop werdet ihr auch eine App mit Clojure bauen.

Anfängerinnen mit keiner oder wenig Erfahrung im Programmieren, so wie Systemadministratorinnen, oder Entwicklerinnen in anderen Sprachen, und Menschen, die unsere bisherigen Workshops besucht haben, sind alle willkommen.

Wir treffen uns am Freitag Abend, um die Software zu installieren, die wir brauchen werden. Am Samstag werden wir dann den ganzen Tag lernen und programmieren. Ihr werdet in kleinen Gruppen zwischen 2 - 4 Personen lernen. Um euch anzumelden, solltet ihr euch als Frau identifizieren. Männer sind willkommen, wenn sie als Begleitung einer Teilnehmerin kommen.

Für den Workshop braucht ihr einen Laptop mit einem aktuellen Betriebssystem(Linux, Windows or Mac). Falls du keinen Laptop hast oder Fragen zu deinem Gerät, schreib uns gerne eine Mail.

Die Teilnahme am Freitag Abend ist verpflichtend, so gehen wir sicher, dass eure Laptops für den Workshop startklar sind.

The installfest on Friday 22 January starts at 18:00 (you can come a little later as well).

The workshop on Saturday 23 January runs from 9:00 till about 18:00.
